Psychotropic Medications are used to treat the symptoms of mental health disorders. Medications can provide relief of the symptoms of anxiety, depression, psychosis, mood changes, and others related to mental health disorders. Medications do not cure mental health conditions. When used properly and consistently, medications often provide relief by balancing (Chemicals) Neurotransmitters in the brain that promote better sleep, less depression, less anxiety, better focus, and more stable mood. These adjustments can improve quality of life. An individual treatment plan will be developed for each client to address the unique needs of the individual. Since medications perform differently for each person, an individual treatment plan will be developed for each client to address his or her unique needs.
Finding the right medication or combination of medications can be a process. While some respond favorably to the first-choice treatment selection and dose; others may require increased or decreased doses or even a medication changes.
